About the event
We're excited to announce the next dinner in our Local Winery dinner series!
Please join us for our return to local winery dinners! Postponed for the past two years due to covid, Chef Erin is very excited to announce this unique experience focused on our local wineries and vineyards. Enjoy wine selections from our award winning local wineries while taking in the sights of the winery, vineyards and surrounding areas where the wines are produced. This is a fantastic way to enjoy the full romance of winemaking and cultivation. Owners/winemakers will join us for these events to present their creations and share their vision of what making wine in San Diego County means to them.
For our August dinner in this series, we are pleased to be teaming up with Coomber Craft Wines in Oceanside! Coomber sources grapes from select vineyards to create beautiful wines with a focus on the varietals that thrive in Central and Northern California. Will Burtner and/or Robert Pufhal will join us from the winery to present the wines and discuss their origins and winemaking techniques. The Coombers have created a fantastic rustic-chic tasting, room blocks from the beach in Oceanside. Our event will start in the tasting room with bubbles and tray passed bites, then move into the seated, back patio for the dinner. The patio is fully covered with partial walls, creating the perfect space out of the elements, but still utilizing the ocean breeze. You won't want to miss this fantastic evening of wine, food and conversation.
* Please note, this dinner will take place on a fully covered outdoor patio. The event can and will be held in this patio space, rain or shine.
Each selection will be paired with its own wine inspired dinner course, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with wine, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each wine is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each wine. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each wine. With a passion for food and wine, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course. Expect a fabulous evening of wine, food and educational insights! Seating is limited. Please see below for additional dinner details and a registration link.
