Don't miss an exciting three-evening winemaker dinner series, featuring small production wines from Santa Barbara!
We are very excited to announce our next dinner series, including an evening at our Pacific Beach location, Drift Cafe! For our second dinner series in August, we're very excited to announce a fantastic line up of wines from boutique Santa Barbara winery, SAMsARA! Winemaker Matt Brady will be joining us from the winery for each evening to discuss the wine selections and the daily ins and outs of life at a small production winery. This will be a great opportunity to try out 5 exceptional, ultra-premium wines from a boutique winery. We'll feature some Sta. Rita Hills staples, like chardonnay and pinot noir, but also three exciting, winery only selections, including a micro production, late harvest Viognier. Each selection will be paired with its own wine inspired dinner course, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with wine, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each wine is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each wine. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each wine. With a passion for food and wine, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course. Though we cannot guarantee special requests for menu changes, please contact us (email/phone above) if you have any food allergies or special considerations and we'll do our best to accommodate! Please understand that this is pop-up experience, it is not a restaurant. A temporary kitchen is built to accommodate the dinner and resources are very limited. Minor changes can usually be accommodated. Diary Free and Vegan requests cannot be met. Menu changes should be requested at least 48 hours prior to an event. Please DO NOT buy tickets with the assumption that any special request will be met, please check with us before purchasing tickets. Please note that if you purchase tickets before inquiring about your modification, and it cannot be accommodated, the below cancellation policy still applies.
There is a 48-hour full-refund policy. We apologize that cancellations within 48 hours of the event cannot be refunded.
Lastly, please note that your total cost for the dinner includes two processing fees that are collected by third parties and do not transfer to Wine Pairs Events. Instead of passing on these additional fees to customers, we have decided to absorb them. This however means that when a customer cancels a reservation, at any point, 6% of the ticket total is non-refundable, as these processors do not issue refunds for any reason.
About This Venue:
Drift Cafe is located in Mission Beach, on Mission Beach Blvd. Seating is indoors and is comprised of 2-8 top seating. Group seating of up to 10 people is easily accommodated, with advanced notice. All seats are standard table height. All chairs have backs and are comfortable. Parking can be a challenge in this area. Street parking is available, though difficult to find. There are 4 pay to park lots within 4 blocks of Drift Cafe: 4475 Mission Blvd, 4747 Mission Blvd, 4445 Mission Blvd and 875 Garnet Avenue. Ride share services or taxis are always recommended. Please be sure to note any special requests or seating requirements during your registration. If you did not do so, please be sure to email us BEFORE the event, regarding your requests. If you arrive early, there will be a by the glass wine list available to purchase from.

Add On: Bottle of Sparkling
Arrive early and enjoy a 750ml bottle of chilled sparkling wine before the dinner starts. Please contact us regarding the current offering. Champagne/Sparkling is only available by the bottle (750ml) and MUST be ordered no later than 12pm the day of the event. Your bottle will be chilled prior to the dinner and will come with dedicated glasses (1 per seat in your reservation).

Conclude your evening with a dessert wine! We're currently offering Hawk and Horse Late Harvest Cabernet Franc (93pts Enthusiast). Dessert wine is only available by the glass (3oz) and MUST be ordered no later than 2pm the day of the event. Your glass(es) will be served at the end of the dinner with dessert. Please allow yourself some extra time to enjoy your additional wine.
